WHO IS JUJU?

JuJu Jaworski (she/they) is a Director, Writer, and Creative — originally from Massachusetts and currently based in New York City.

In her professional theatre career, JuJu has worked and directed with organizations such as National Alliance of Musical Theatre, Ars Nova, The Tank, Fordham University, 54 Below, Green Room 42, and North Shore Music Theatre. No stranger to the both New York theatre scene and regional spaces, JuJu has served as associate and assistant to directors bringing shows to life, as well as directed several new works in development with playwrights.

JuJu graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a Bachelor of Arts — with a major in Theatre, concentration in Directing, and a minor in Digital Technology and Emerging Media. Her work has been primarily focused in Theatre, but she has branched into Film with her short-film debut, HARBOR, receiving the Fordham University Undergraduate Creative Practice and Creative Research Grant.

During their college career, JuJu worked on fourteen theatrical productions, between both the Fordham Theatre MainStage and Studio seasons, with roles ranging from: Director, Producer, Playwright, Associate Director, Assistant Director, Dramaturg, Intimacy Director, Sound Designer, Props Designer, and House Manager.

She grew up attending shows at North Shore Music Theatre, and instead of wishing to be up on the stage, she had a hankering to make the magic happen from behind the scenes. She began her regional work at that very same theater that inspired her, assisting and teaching classes in the Education Department of North Shore Music Theatre, at age sixteen. They made their professional debut on the Main Stage of North Shore Music Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music as Assistant Director to Youth Company in the Summer of 2023.

JuJu is a multi-hyphenate artist who aims to cultivate a space of interconnection between artists who believe in the goodness of art itself. Her favorite place to be is a rehearsal room, working alongside collaborators to make heartfelt choices and bring their visions to life. Their goal is to foster artistic communities that make all artists feel connected to the work and to each other, while making the eight-year-old version of herself, hand-drawing talent show programs at the kitchen table, proud.

big believer in good art and good people.
